Have I Been Unlawfully Terminated?

Employers cannot terminate for unlawful reasons. If you have been subject to any form discriminating, harassing, or retaliatory acts tell us your story.
  Some examples of unlawful reasons for any adverse employment actions are:

  • requesting or returning from any form of medical leave 
  • being over the age of 40 and forced into early retirement 
  • being a certain gender (male, female, trans, cis, or non-binary)
  • being a certain race (Asian, Latinx, African, Caucasian, Indian, Native)
  • having a certain sexual orientation (straight, gay, lesbian, bi, asexual, pansexual)   
  • having a certain religious preference such as wearing a hijab, cross, or kippah, having a certain praying schedule, or requesting days off for religious observances 
  • getting injured at work and reporting it, seeking medical care, filing a workers’ compensation claim, and/or retaining an attorney to help you navigate that claim
  • being pregnant or having a partner who is pregnant
  • having a disability or medical condition and/or requesting an accommodation 
  • having a child or loved one with a medical condition or disability and/or requesting an accommodation to care for that child or loved one
  • complaining about not getting appropriate wages, breaks, or being subjected to unlawful working conditions
